Free Printable Worksheets for Graded Readers
A useful graded-reader worksheet should help learners return to the story, retrieve meaning, and reuse language. It should not become a long grammar test disconnected from the reading.
Worksheet Types
Comprehension questions check what happened and why it matters. Vocabulary tasks ask learners to match words to story context. Speaking prompts ask learners to defend an answer with story evidence.
Writing tasks should be short enough to finish but focused enough to require new language.
Answer-Key Guidance
Answer keys are for feedback, not only grading. Teachers can use them to move quickly from checking to discussion. Self-study learners can use them to correct misunderstandings while the reading is still fresh.
